But here’s a little secret: planning your content doesn’t have to be overwhelming. In fact, with the right system, you can map out a full month’s worth of content in less than an hour.
Here’s how I do it — and how you can use this system today.
Step 1: Choose 4 Content Buckets
Content buckets (aka content pillars) are simply themes you rotate through.
Example buckets:

Educate (tips, how-to’s)
-
Promote (your offers/services)
-
Connect (personal stories, behind-the-scenes)
-
Engage (questions, polls, fun stuff)
Pick 3–5 that make sense for your business and speak to your audience.
Step 2: Assign 1 Bucket to Each Day of the Week
Let’s say you post 3x per week. It could look like:

Monday: Educate
-
Wednesday: Connect
-
Friday: Promote
That’s 12 posts per month. Boom. You’ve already got a structure.

Step 3: Use a Template or Prompt for Each Post
Don’t reinvent the wheel. Use a consistent formula, like:

Educate: “Did you know…?” or “3 ways to [solve problem]”

Connect: “When I first started my business…”

Promote: “Here’s what I’m working on this week…”
Now just fill in the blanks. You’ll be surprised how fast it flows when you’re not starting from zero.
Step 4: Plug It Into a Simple Calendar
Use Notion, Google Sheets, Trello, or even pen and paper. Assign your post types to actual dates.
This isn’t about being perfect. It’s about having a plan so you don’t freeze every time you open your socials.
Pro Tip: Batch When You Can
Set a 90-minute timer. Create 3–5 posts at once. It’s so much easier when you’re “in the zone.”
Bonus: reuse strong posts across platforms (slightly tweaked) and you’re ahead of the game.
